I'm not sure how much more ridiculous this can get? Surely we must be reaching a tipping point here pretty soon where the average person has an "aha" moment and just says "wait a minute, this is stupid". But maybe I'm being overly optimistic; nevermind the average person, I'm still waiting on hundreds of supposedly smart, well trained and educated scientists to speak out.

I often disagree with your analysis of the hard science on Global Warming, but I must admit that there seems to be a growing number of people who have used the coming catastrophe as an excuse to fleece their fellow citizens. And when I say fleece, I mean fleece.

While having dinner aboard a luxury cruise liner a week ago, I was astounded to discover my $42.00 lamb chop dinner had a lamb chop the size of a 50-cent piece. I called the waiter back to the table and demanded an explanation.

“What do you call this?” I asked pointing at the perfectly shaped micro-chop.

“It’s a lamb chop, sir. You did order the lamb chop with rice pilaf, correct?”

“Yes, but this is not a lamb chop,” I said indignantly, raising the pathetic piece of meat on my fork. “It looks more like it came from a squirrel.”

“It really is a lamb chop, sir.” The waiter cleared his throat and spoke as if reading from a script. “It’s just that lambs are getting smaller these days because of Global Warming. Perhaps you haven’t read the latest scientific report on the subject.”

Back in my veranda stateroom, after grabbing a full-sized cheeseburger at the snack bar, I did a Google News search on the vanishing lamb chop. The waiter had told the truth, although he might have exaggerated the severity of the problem. Here is the link to the research he mentioned:
